You and I are both IT guys who consult, and have an interest in MQ, and are named "David Douglass."
You're much more in the public eye than I am; nonetheless, I see a possibility for relevant confusion.
(For instance: I could imagine a client hiring me for a C# job on the basis of having been impressed by your papers on .NET, neither of which technologies I know.)
Do you think I should start consistently using a different "professional name," either "Dave Douglass" or "David S. Douglass?" If so, which of those would seem to you to work better?
(I'd also consider something else entirely, such as "Bazookaman Dave," on the basis of my ability to play the bassoon.)
If I don't hear anything contrary from you, then I'll just become more consistent in using "David S. Douglass," since that's my legal name.
Best of luck!
