SQL Server: How can I get a distinct count(*) with multiple columns?
To get a count(*) of distinct column combinations, do the count(*) over the distinct select statement.
Example:
SELECT count(*)
FROM (SELECT DISTINCT
ColumnA,
ColumnB,
ColumnC
FROM YourTable
) x
