Children of Men

Go watch this trailer for the next Clive Owens movie. Moving story about a future where women are infertile and the lifespan of the human race is approx 50 years...until a woman is discovered to be pregnant and needs to be sneaked to the coast where a team of scientists will be able to bring her to safety. After the movie, I thought it funny: a moving story about saving one child while over 1 million are aborted in the US alone every year...

Not sure what the intent of that last line was, but how about some stats on your own country...? 10/28/2006 10:26 AM | Chris Williams

Ours aren't any better. We average over 100,000 a year since the early 90's (keep in mind our entire population is approx the same as California).

I just find it interesting that in some areas we fight so strongly for life, and we react with passion to stories where life is fought for; and yet as a society we're alright with the optional ending of life at the same time.

The movie has been released in Australia already and at least one moviegoer that I trust has given it a rave: http://p212.ezboard.com/fthedarkhalfofthedarkhalffrm3.showMessage?topicID=668.topic

Looking forward to it when it hits our shores. 10/31/2006 9:27 AM | The Coding Hillbilly
