I’m back from a couple of weeks holiday… and I am starting a new job
[This email uses the word fab too many times] I am just back from a fab “two centre holiday”. First up was Cumbria, mainly the fells rather than the lakes. Absolutely beautiful. Rained every day :-) Next up was the North York Moors. Absolutely beautiful. Rained every day :-) Definitely recommend the format – although maybe with less rain :-) Which brings me to my change of job which started this week (Aug 2010). The last two years were fab Back in July 2008 I switched from being an ISV Architect ......

Free mini-SPA event, Sept 10th London
I adore the annual BCS SPA conference but unfortunately missed the last two years. One of the things they do is rerun for free a mini-SPA of some of the best sessions. I would definitely recommend popping along especially if you are London based. Details and how to register ......

Real World Entity Framework 4.0 and ASP.NET 4.0: Interview with Howard Baines

Which means – you! Possibly :-) The plan is: The conference will take place 10am to 5pm UK time, delivered using Live Meeting and recorded for on-demand ......

GuestPost: See the wood despite the trees with NDepend
[Check out other guest posts if you like this one. They are often better than mine!] One thing I miss about being the Technical Editor of the UK MSDN Flash is interacting with smart individuals to get their technical article ready for inclusion. It occurs to me that I use GuestPosts on my blog to get a similar “fix” :-) It is time for another fix :-) In this case the author is Patrick Smacchia, a very smart developer who happens to be the the lead developer for the rather amazing tool NDepend (and ......
