If you are:

  • a senior technologist (Application Architect, Senior Developer or similar)
  • with strong experience in developing solutions using the Windows platform (Visual Studio, SQL Server, IIS etc)
  • fancy working for Microsoft UK
  • and are not put off by these pictures of my team
  • (and it is before 1st May 2011)

then I would highly recommend you check out the job posting for two positions as Architect Evangelists in my team.

My personal ideal “new colleague” would also:

  • Enjoy online FPS gaming and be as excited about Battlefield 3 as I am
  • Value the importance of a regular weekly bath
  • Not come from North Shields as I have mental scars from my youth from the brief time I spent there

But… don’t be too put off by my list. I’m not the one making the final decision.

P.S. Drop me an email if you would like to find out a little more…

The Architect Evangelist’s mission is to drive technology adoption into the solutions of the UKs largest, most influential ISVs.
Working alongside Partner Account Manager’s, you will build trusted-advisor relationships with the technical decision makers inside our most important ISVs, building and growing our technical relationship with them.
Within the context of their application development, you will articulate the benefits of the Microsoft platform to the key technology influencers within the ISVs, including CTO, Architects and influential developers. These technologies might include Windows client/server/phone, SQL Server, Office Client and Server, .NET and Windows Azure,
You'll lead technical meetings between executives at senior levels within the organization to help them determine product strategy. Using your technical knowledge and software development experience you will orchestrate teams in both companies to build better products, providing architectural insight and delivering sufficient technical depth on MS products, either yourself, from within the team or elsewhere in Microsoft, to secure adoption.
