The Global Warming Scam is Doomed
I wonder if they'll let us have freon back? Check out this article. When will the liberal crazies wake up and realize that the facts simply don't support them? Wish I had a candidate for president that wasn't a moron. All three have stated how we need to do something to change the environment, in spite of the facts. Grr. No More Tiers
Well, we've gone and done it. We're no longer using Nettiers. It was good while we were, but the overhead of it eventually became way too much, and since we were doing mostly generic CRUD operations, it no longer made sense. Instead, we're going to write a custom DAL. Here's why: We're working with a LARGE database with some pretty complex data structures, which required quite a bit of customization of Nettiers to make it understand the structures. The knowntypes enumeration in WCF was killing us. ......

Great Article--I hope it happens
Read this from Fox News today. I find it odd that the only scientists that we're supposed to listen to are the ones that are FOR global warming, but all of the scientists that say it's crap (see a previous post, and this article by Richard S. Lindzen a professor of meteorology at MIT) are to be completely ignored. I hope that something happens to wake the clueless out of the Global Climate Change scam. Ah, but that's not what Global Warming is about. It's about politics, power, and money. Funny that ......

Grr--Junk Science
It's the dose that makes the poison. Read an article today that should have never been published. You can read it here. Basically, the associated press is trying to scare people into thinking that they shouldn't drink water because there were pharmaceuticals found in the drinking water. At no point do they say what the concentration (parts per million is the currently accepted standard) of those chemicals are. Arsenic is one of the most deadly poisons for human beings known, and many drinking water ......

Exchange 2007, windows server 2008 problem and fix
So my exchange server stopped working along with the web server and such, and system attendant started hanging in startup. I searched for the problem and really didn't find anything useful until I found a single forum response that solved the problem. Here's the error message I was seeing in the event viewer: Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGYSERVICE... (PID=3392). Topology discovery failed, error 0x80040a02 (DSC_E_NO_SUITABLE_CDC). Look up the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) error code specified ......

Awesome PC Game (Sins of a Solar Empire)
If you like real time strategy, Sins of a Solar Empire is a great game! I just picked it up and I'm very, VERY happy with it. Many features play like Homeworld and Homeworld 2, which I loved, but it has far more depth and an interesting concept of settling planets and such. Biggest drawback is that you find that its sucked hours of your life away, and you don't realize that it has, but its very worth it. Well done Stardock, another hit.
